Meow, there! My name is Sophie (formerly Mitzi). I thought nobody would EVER notice me in my condo at PetSmart. Maybe people were turned off by my ragged shave job (back AND tummy-QUITE unflattering!) or my dull brown tabby color. I swear it wasn't my fault my coat got all matted and full of seeds and dirt. It's tough to maintain a beauty regimen when you're either scrounging for food or hiding wherever you can just to stay alive.
One day a nice lady said she was thinking of fostering me until my ratty coat looked nicer. I meowed and nudged the padlock with my paw, and finally she took the hint, opened the door, and took me home with her. I admit I didn't enjoy the combing or mat removal, but it was worth it. Now I am quite stunning, if I do say so myself. And of COURSE, my foster Mom-who is no dummy and recognizes a World Class Lap Cat when she meets one-has become my Forever Mom!
